Eric Kaltenbach Photography

It was a family friend who shared his passion of travel and photography through his beautiful slide shows who introduced me to photography.  His colorful slides illuminated nature and landscapes in a way that transported you to those far off locations.

Through photography I found an artistic medium that I really enjoyed.  This was long before pc's, computer graphics, and cell phones.  My first 35mm camera used rolls of negative or positive film and only offered a built in light meter for help. Back then post production editing was accomplished in my dark room making B&W and color prints. It was here that I learned so much about photography and making the picture.

Using today's digital cameras and digital technologies, I really enjoy the whole process of creating a picture, not just taking a picture.   And, by utilizing the internet I can present my "slide show" to a much larger audience.
